ND Student Travels to Africa to Volunteer with Local Nonprofits
Last fall, Katherine Martin, a fifth-year naturopathic medical student, traveled with three other Bastyr students to Ghana, West Africa, to provide medical support and education to people with HIV/AIDS. The trip, sponsored by Bastyr's Action Africa Club, provided Martin with a life-changing opportunity to help a community that lacks medical resources.
