Bastyr University, located north
of Seattle, Washington, is one of the world's leading
academic centers for advancing knowledge in the natural
health sciences. A twenty-nine-year pioneer in natural
medicine, Bastyr continues to be in the forefront
of developing the model for 21st century medicine.
On Monday evening Lee E. Johnson, a member of our Board of Trustees succumbed to cancer in his Mercer Island home.
An intellectual property lawyer and partner in the firm Christensen O'Connor Johnson Kindness, Mr. Johnson had served only two years of his first term as a Bastyr University trustee and although his tenure was short, his impact was large. His was always the voice of reason and practicality on any matter under deliberation and his style was always gentle and gracious. His wisdom was deeply respected and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held at Plymouth Congregational Church in downtown Seattle on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 2 p.m.
